“480 Minutes” - This Corrosion
Lyric of the Week: “Cops are killing moms in their cars/because you, you wanted to say ‘retard.’” -Lex Walton, “Hipster Runoff”
Lex has a point. All that nonsense we heard about “economic anxiety” sweeping Dumbfuck Don into the White House in 2016 was a smokescreen created by Republican marketing gurus who got together to brainstorm “How do we make this seem to not be about the racism & cruelty & Christofacism we’ve been rotting their brains with for decades?” Economic anxiety is what they came up with & the mainstream media, who found themselves caught with their pants down & thumbs up their asses, ran with it.
For more than a decade MAGA has been clear about demanding their right to use the N-word & sexist language & gay slurs & share hateful tropes about “them.” Finally some are waking up to this, but since we just had an MMA fight featuring fans openly doing the Sieg Heil salute & waving a swastika flag while the winning fighter was proudly sporting an SS tattoo on his chest inside an automobile-maker sponsored arena, I’m afraid it may be too late for this country. Kids are being fed complete fucking nonsense like Canada is more dangerous to the U.S. than Russia or China, vaccines are bad, taking housing subsidies away from the homeless will reduce homelessness, & oil prices are high b/c Ukraine & not b/c of Trump’s ongoing failed vanity excursion into Iran. On a daily basis children see their POTUS lie & cheat & steal & fire only female cabinet members & bully & commit adultery & fall asleep in meetings & make everything about himself…how can the impression be anything other than all of theses behaviors are fine b/c POTUS does them & doesn’t even try to hide it?
Sorry to rain on anyone’s parade, but what was once known as “The American Way” is being subverted in real time yet most people/politicians/talking heads seem unwilling to think about it much less speak to the collapse.
