“480 Minutes” - Idiots Abound
In case you have not noticed, here in the U.S. we’ve got idiots running the country, & said idiots are firing the people who actually know stuff. I mean, check off another item on The Donald’s pal Vlad’s wish list: degrading the U.S. military by (a) firing the head of the navy (during a war!), (b) depleting its stockpiles of munitions in a war of aggression which so far has seemingly strengthened the position of the nation attacked, & (c) making it no longer mandatory for military members to get the flu vaccine. Honestly, Putin could not have dreamed of receiving all of the gifts the Trump administration has bestowed & continues to bestow upon him.
33% of the electorate is OK with all of it, & Idiocracy turns 20 years old this year; coincidence? I think not.
Meanwhile the mainstream media keeps reporting on how poorly Trump is polling, which is true, but as has been the case since the racist Fox-lobotomized contingent voted him into office in 2016, media analysis is blind to a few glaringly obvious realities: Trump voters may not like what he’s doing, but they love him, & remain largely uninformed about what is actually going on. They read his social media posts, listen to those who tell them it’s not just their right but their duty as ‘Murkins to shit on non-whites & non-Christians & other “others," all while ferociously ignoring and/or attacking anything resembling actual news. The result? Voter disapproval will not translate into MAGA cultists voting for those pedophile drinkers of the blood of Christian babies who invented the welfare state (MAGA doesn’t realize that red states benefit from far more than blue states), the Democrats. The same media that tried to convince us that The Tea Party & MAGA were about “economic anxiety” has recently been harping about how over 50% of Fox News viewers have a negative view of Trump’s immigration policies…apparently not considering the possibility that some of those polled disapprove b/c the policies are not cruel & inhumane enough. After all, we still have brown people in this country! Recall that these are good little Nazis who proudly & with great vigor waved “Mass Deportations Now!” signs.
