“480 Minutes” - NoonWave Returns

Tune in for one of the final 480 Minutes programs of the 2025 today beginning at 9 a.m. Eastern U.S. Time, is live-hosted until 5 p.m. The show will be rebroadcast in it's entirety on Friday evenings beginning at 7 p.m., Saturdays at 5 a.m. & 3 p.m., & Sundays at 1 a.m. ET.

Normally 480 Minutes is chuck full of new releases. Today’s show, however, will feature no new 🎵 as the end of year approaches & music submissions slow to a trickle.

Today will feature the return of our popular new “NoonWave” segment featuring a set of post punk & new wave from roughly 1977-1987 during the noon hour, hence the name of the segment. NoonWave was shelved last week due to the nature of the year-end top music show.

Speaking of which, our top song & album lists are now posted on both the blog & our Top Music By Year pages, check them out if you would like a crash course in 2025. We will re-run that year-end top music show one more time before the end of the year in case anyone is jonesiing for one last big hit of 2025 before 2026 arrives.
