“480 Minutes” - December Has Arrived
The 480 Minutes program begins at 9 a.m. Eastern U.S. Time, is live-hosted until 5 p.m., and usually contains tons of recent releases as well as quality stuff from recent years with a dose of classics sprinkled in. The show is rebroadcast in it's entirety on Friday evenings beginning at 7 p.m., Saturdays at 5 a.m. and 3 p.m., and Sundays at 1 a.m. ET.
Today’s show, however, will feature no new 🎵 by anybody. That’s just the way it is at this time of year as we spend Thanksgiving week cleansing the musical palate by listening to only Bealtes music, followed immediately by the task of sifting back through all the terrific 2025 songs & albums we loved to prepare our year-end top music charts. A couple of hundred of those not-selected-by-algorithm-or-payola songs will fill out next week’s (12/12/25) 480 Minutes episode, including at 11am ET a top 50 song countdown with which you are encouraged play along.
Today is “Bandcamp Friday,” when that music-selling platform waves it’s artist fees, meaning more of the money you spend goes to the creators who created the thing that was so good you decided you needed to own it. When you hear stuff you like today & every day but more so today go to bandcamp.com, type in the name of the artist into the search window, & help support these creators!
Speaking of support…BAGeL Radio is entirely listener-supported — our ability to operate relies on the generosity of our devoted listeners. Iif you can’t help support us right now, that’s cool, we’re happy you are listening. If BAGeL Radio means something to you, if it adds to your life, AND you are in a position to contribute, please help keep us on the air & commercial-free by making a (U.S.) tax-deductible donation. We’re not picky — one-time donations are great, recurring dontations are greater because they allow us to plan a bit further ahead.
To our existing contributors, thank you for your continued support, we would not still be here without you. To our potential contributors, thank you for considering making a donation.
You can also purchase stuff from our merch store. Temperatures suddenly dipped below 20℉ (-6.7℃) yesterday, so now might be a good time to snap an embroidered BAGeL Radio knitted hat on your head:
