“480 Minutes” - Trump Trounced
The facts the off-cycle elections this week are plain: Trumpism got trounced from NYC to Mississippi to Orlando FL to Charlotte NC to Georgia & Pennsylvania.
The lessons learned by the Democrats should include shoving their elderly members in to the current political moment (I’m looking at you, Senate Minority Leader Schumer) or, if they refuse, sidelining them.
The main lesson learned by the Republicans seems to be, “Holy #NoKings! The people are paying attention to our intentional ongoing decimation of the nation & if that keeps up we are not going to win many elections…so…no more free & fair elections.
Meanwhile early this week the Secretary of State of deep red Kentucky saw his office inundated by angry calls from constituents upset because their polling places weren’t open to allow them to vote against Zohran Mamdani. He had to inform the people that there were no elections in Kentucky this year & that they are not allowed to vote for the mayor of New York nor the Governor of New Jersey nor the mayor of Cincinnati (a race in which Vice President J.D. Vance’s half-brother got smoked 78-22).
Also this week someone who not long ago was regularly be referred to as a “genius” Tweeted out inflammatory, ignorant, idiotic, misleading disinformation while complaining about the NYC voting ballot. Apparently Elmo, who does not live in NYC, has never heard of fusion voting, a practice that’s been used in multiple states including NY where it has been standard practice for longer than he has been alive & grifting.
