“480 Minutes” - No Kings
Tomorrow, Saturday October 18th, 2025, millions will gather to protest the corruption, lies, hate, & the overt undermining of American democracy. No Kings is hosting events across the continental U.S. as well as in Canada, Mexico, & no fewer than six (6!) in Puerto Rico alone. Top Republican MAGA Mike Johnson (amongst other Trump lemmings) has spent the week deriding in advance the expected participants in this in an attempt to create a false narrative about who opposes their corruption, lies, hate, & openly fascistic tendencies.
I try to explain it to MAGAs I meet along these lines: when your leaders tell you that your #1 enemy (behind, of course those demon trans people, The Gays, people of color, let’s not forget Canada &, of course, Tylenol) is a non-existent organization whose titular goal is to defeat fascism….you might want to start rethinking what these leaders are trying to sell you. Hint: it ain’t the truth, or reality, or fairness, or kindness, or societal & species-level progress.
