“480 Minutes” - Autumn Chill

It would appear that Autumn has arrived here in NYC as temperatures plummeted by about 20℉ in the past couple of days. Perfect for me, perhaps not for thee.

Meanwhile his MAGA-sty didn’t have a great week — his shutdown of the government is unpopular, & his threats to cut government programs that “they” like (by which he means Democrats) is backfiring b/c even his most diehard supporters realize that “red states” rely on those very programs even more than do “blue states.” Sad.

The other chill in the air involves free speech. Most of the mainstream media remains way too deferential to a rogue Administration run by an embarrassing slovenly hateful childish know-nothing, & closer to home I’m noticing that friends & relatives are self-censoring. This pre-emptive caving to authoritarian control helps the authoritarian usurp control — don’t do it.
