“480 Minutes” - The Land of the Free To Get (Previously Eradicated) Infectious Diseases

The lies of the first Trump Administration were obvious, insane, ridiculous, dangerous, & endless.

The lies of the current Trump Administration are obvious, insane, ridiculous, dangerous, & endless, but what makes them worse this time is that he & the sycophants who repeat & reinforce these dangerous lies have crashed through every last guard rail put in place to protect the country from enemies domestic. Enemies of the very idea of representative democracy & the United States of America. They have made malfeasance not just the new normal but the new currency of the realm. Malfeasance is illegal.

Oh, & Health & Human Services Secretary & noted brain-worm delicacy RFK Jr. is trying to purge from the Centers for Disease Control everyone who knows that vaccines work. 50M elementary school kids return to class next week in an official atmosphere of vaccines are a “personal choice” while measles (& other infectious diseases eradicated by vaccines is raging across the country. Move along. Nothing to see here.

So much more to talk about, like the military being deployed in U.S. cities based on the lie that “crime is out of control” when these cities report crime rates at their lowest in decades. It’s the same lie that “ICE is about illegal immigration.” It’s not. It’s an unaccountable secret police force staffed by pardoned January 6th insurrectionists, fired law enforcement officers, discharged military veterans, & anyone else who doesn’t mind enabling authoritarianism just as long as it means they can use the N-word. And there’s no age limit.

So, yeah, all that money that Elon Musk’s Destruction of Government Efficiency “saved” by cutting cancer research & the National Parks Services & reproductive healthcare that Trump hinted they might send out in checks to Americans is actually being redirected to create Trump’s very own Gestapo.
