“480 Minutes” - Summer’s Near

Summer’s near & the time is right for protesting in the street.

As our fellow Americans of various subgroups (immigrants, women, LGBT+, experts in their fields, the working poor, the poor, the destitute, etc.) continue to be terrorized by the Trump Administration, it’s policies, it’s failures, it’s utter incompetence (the head of the Department of Homeland Security hasn’t the slightest idea of what “habeas corpus” is…seriously), & it’s inversion of basic societal norms (elevating cruelty, ignorance, & lies over compassion, knowledge, & truth), we need to band together as if our way of life depends on it. Because it does. We need to pull friends, relations, acquaintances, baristas, & whoever else we can reach into the fight. Too many Americans are not paying any attention. Others are getting little more than hollow outlines of the damage being done & its consequences from talking heads on TV.

The ongoing attempt to pull off the greatest upward transfer of wealth to the already obscenely wealthy while shredding the social safety net barely seems to register with the media. We need to make our circles of influence aware of these things, plus other outrages like disappearing people from our streets, Don The Con accepting a $400M bribe from Qatar, the erasing of history, the teaching of The Big Lie in Oklahoma public schools, the removal of expertise from every governmental department, etc. …& we must explaining how these things will directly hurt them.

Have them sign up with handsoff2025.com & moveon.org so that they can get involved in the resistance to Trump & his enablers. Such involvement will empower those feeling helpless & hopeless, creating a groundswell that will scare the living shit out of the people “representing” them in government.
