“480 Minutes” - Threat Level: Orange

Not everyone feels comfortable protesting, or sharing their thoughts on hot-button issues with friends & family & co-workers. I get that. Don’t rock the boat. Don’t put a target on your back. Wise & understandable principles in normal times. These are not normal times & we must collectively figure out how to stop the carnage.

Problem is the rate at which the implementation of Project 2025 is demolishing the federal government, the economy, the decades-old institutions that made America (in some ways) great, & the alliances that have kept the free world (mostly) free of fascism… I fear that we are running out of time.

I've been suggesting to everyone who asks to pay attention but also to take breaks to relax, recharge, & enjoy life. I'm tweaking that prescription a bit because the danger level has escalated.

The President of the United States is both defying a 9-0 Supreme Court order & lying about it to the country. His Secretary of Cruelty & Creepiness Stephen Miller outright lied about it on national TV from the Oval Office claiming the administration WON the decision 9-0. And now the guy who has no idea what the Declaration of Independence is appears to 100% believe the lie.

Der Orangefarbene Greifenführer™ has bragged about wanting to disappear US citizens & craven congressional Republicans are going to help him. Negligible pushback from those in positions of power & from the media in the face of this threat to democracy is enabling this autocratic takeover of the U.S. That's why it's imperative that We The People make our voices heard. And we need to pull friends & family into the fight by letting them know what is happening. We need to bring them with us to protests, to town halls, & other public events. Large numbers of people in the streets will force the media to amplify what we're saying as much as they spread the lies of the lying liars, & that amplification will hopefully reach the ears of the out representataives forcing them to act.
