“480 Minutes” - Nazis (R) Us

Your host did not go to trivia night this week, but he did do an indoor bike ride to nowhere led by an instructor who asked music trivia questions throughout. He managed to answer 2 of 10 correctly. Sad.

The newly confirmed director of the CIA, heretofore to be referred to as KashAnon, lied to congress in his confirmation hearing saying the political enemies list at the end of his book is not actually a list of political enemies. Meanwhile, the recently confirmed director of Health & Human Services went to Texas, which is in the middle of a measles outbreak, & gave a speech casting doubt on vaccines. Srsly.

Also, the richest man in the world, who performed an energetic Nazi salute during the recent inauguration, took time out from indiscriminately slashing & burning his way through gov’t agencies to make an appearance at CPAC, an indoor event, wearing sunglasses, brandishing a chainsaw, & yammering incoherently. Former chielf strategist/walking herpes sore Steve Bannon was there, too, calling for an unconstitutional 3rd term for the Orange Menace & delighting the MAGA crowd with a Nazi salute that was less energetic than Elmo’s but no less revolting..

Once again I’ll try to keep my rage at bay during the show today, but no guarantees.

New music today will include 🎵 by Cutouts (New York, NY, @Cut.Outs), Death By Unga Bunga (Oslo, Norway, @DeathByUngaBunga), Kestrels (Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada), The Murder Capital (Dublin, Ireland, @TheMurderCapital), Scowl (Santa Cruz, CA, @@Scowl40831),  SICKY (Shropshire, England, @SickyB), & Vulture Feather (Hayfork, CA, @VultureFeather).

As usual today’s 480 Minutes program begins at 9 a.m. Eastern U.S. Time & is live-hosted until 5 p.m. The show is rebroadcast in its entirety on Friday evenings beginning at 7 p.m., Saturdays at 5 a.m. and 3 p.m., & Sundays at 1 a.m. ET.
