“480 Minutes” - New Music: Good For the Heart & Soul
Heart-warming testimonials arrive all the time & a recent one was very concise & to the point & as far as our mission statement goes, right on the money:
“Love, love, love the show/station and can say it has made me excited about new music again. I wish I found you sooner but am glad I found you at all. I'm grateful to you and all those that do the hard work of putting it all together.” - Patricia, Rosendale, NY
Thank you Patricia, you've put a pin in the point of this little endeavor — getting people excited about discovering new music. Some for the first time, others who had drifted away from seeking out new artists, new sounds, & boldly going to the tiny clubs from which local music scenes spring.
New playlist additions today will include 🎵 by Amiture (Brooklyn, NY, @AmitureMusic), The Bug Club (Wales, UK, @TheBugClubBand), The Dandy Warhols (Portland, OR, @TheDandyWarhols), Dead Anyway (Gloucester, England, @DeadAnyway__), Folly Group (London, England, @ follygroupcomms), & Holy Ship (Stockholm, Sweden, @holyshipband).
The show will be rebroadcast in its entirety on Friday evening beginning at 7 p.m., Saturday at 5 a.m. & 3 p.m., and Sunday at 1 a.m. ET.
If you work for a company that offers to match your contributions to non-profits you can now double your impact — we are now set up for such matching donations through Benevity, so please check with your Human Resources Department & see if your company has a matching program. Either way, please help keep us on the air & commercial-free by making a tax-deductible donation.

Our handy-dandy BAGeL Concert Finder has been down for a while & is in the process of being revived. It’s working again, albeit not yet back to full strength, so please bear with us for a bit longer. For those unfamiliar with this tool, you type in a location (city, town, or postal code) & the distance you are willing to travel. The concert finder gives you a list of results but that list doesn’t contain every music event coming to town, just the artists you hear on BAGeL Radio. This makes things a lot more manageable for those who live in or near big cities with 47 million things going on every day.
