The station has been featured in WIRED Magazine, The New York Times, on ABC News, on KCRW, and in The San Francisco Bay Guardian Best DJs of the Bay spotlight (twice!). Ted was honored with the 2007 College Music Journal (CMJ) Specialty Music Director of the Year Award, an honor he won previously in 2005 when BAGeL Radio became the first internet radio station to win a CMJ award at the annual CMJ Music Marathon Awards in New York City.  BAGeL Radio has been nominated as Best Online Station at the 2008 PLUG Awards.  Ted was featured on the "Invasion of the New Media" panel at the CMJ NMM alongside representatives from ClearChannel, XM, and Sirius, and moderated a similar panel at the NEMO Music Festival in Boston. BAGeL Radio was honored with the Best Live Show award at the Best Of Live365 Awards from a crowded field of over 10,000 Live365 broadcasts. Check out the show, "480 Minutes," this and every Friday from 9am-5pm Pacific Time.

Ted hosts "480 Minutes," playing and discussing the latest BAGeL Radio playlist additions in real time. For eight hours. Seriously. From wherever he is, which is usually San Francisco, but has also included remote broadcasts from Los Angeles (Venice Beach and Eagle Rock), New York (Manhattan and Queens), Japan (Nagano), Freeport, IL., Palm Springs, CA., Austin, TX., Boston, MA., and Norway (Oslo).  Seriously. Besides tons of new music, the show also includes band, gig and tour info, interviews, in-studio live acoustic performances, and giveaways. Requests, comments, and criticisms are taken via e-mail or IM.

Ted teaches a class in "Blogs, Podcasts, and Internet Radio" at San Francisco State Univesity.

Ted produces multiple weekly indie rock podcasts for the Killington Ski Resort in Vermont and Vail Ski Resorts in Colorado and Lake Tahoe.  The former were nominated for a prestigious MITX Award. Previously, Ted hosted a series of podcasts spotlighting bands on independent labels and distributors including IRIS, Ingrooves, IODA, and TVT Records, and posts his own podcats on his blog.

Ted has DJed shows for hundreds of bands including The Arcade Fire, Bloc Party, Nine Inch Nails, Silversun Pickups, The National, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah!, Darker My Love, Rogue Wave, My Bloody Valentine, Morphine, AC Newman, Rob Crow, and Buffalo Tom, and DJs a monthly indie rock dance night at Harlot called The RUMBLE.

Ted began DJing in his teens at nightclubs and college radio which led into promoting, booking, and managing bands, releasing records on his own label, and managing night clubs.

After relocating to San Francisco, internet radio brought Ted back to his entertainment industry roots: DJing and bringing new music the to music-buying public. In early 2003 Ted launched BAGeL Radio to share his enviable music collection with the world (and to convey simple views like, "Media consolidation: bad. BAGeL Radio: good.").

Since its inception BAGeL Radio has showcased thousands of independent artists and labels, spurring sales to internet radio listeners across the country (214 US municipalities) and the world (152 countries). Visit the website, the blog, and find out how to tune in at http://bagelradio.com/radio/listen.html.

A popular area of the BAGeL Radio site is the gig photos section.

Ted books and promotes BAGeL Radio Presents... live shows, and DJs at Bay Area clubs including The Independent, The Great American Music Hall, Café du Nord, The Make-Out Room, Dalva, Club 6, The Rickshaw Stop, Mezzanine, and The Bottom of the Hill.
